Some of the older reviews are kept here.

Indians Givers is an explanation of just how indebted we are to the native peoples. It explained how the riches of the Indian mind, the sciences they had developed, transformed both the western world and the far east empires. The foods we eat today include 60% from American origins. Medicines, attitudes, many of the most important patents, changed a Europe that still had a lagging agriculture and primitive economy. What did we give them?

how the Indians of the Americas transformed the world by J. McIver Weatherford

My first review is of the book with the impossible title. A young Bahá'í writer has somehow brought the three subjects of "Faith, Physics, and Psychology" together and made some sense out of that great political chaos we find ourselves in today. It is like saying, at one time we saw the world in black and white but all the time it was in color and we were given eyes to see it. Many a child has been punished, many a society destroyed by insisting that the world has many beautiful colors. Medina talks of the suffering of our time whose origin is old philosophy and fear of change. Then he gives the solution.

Paris Talks is a collection of informal talks given by 'Abdu'l-Bahá (1911), while on a visit to Paris. It shows clearly the essence of the Bahá'í Faith and reveals the spirit of the age. 'Abdu'l-Bahá is the eldest son of the Prophet-Founder of the Bahá'í Faith, Bahá'u'llah (the Glory of God).

  Paris Talks by 'Abdu'l-Bahá

When a man turns his face to God he finds sunshine everywhere. All men are his brothers. Let not conventionality cause you to seem cold and unsympathetic when you meet strange people from other countries. Do not look at them as though you suspected them of being evil-doers, thieves and boors. You think it necessary to be very careful, not to expose yourselves to the risk of making acquaintance with such, possibly, undesirable people.
I ask you not to think only of yourselves. Be kind to the strangers, whether come they from Turkey, Japan, Persia, Russia, China or any other country in the world.
Help to make them feel at home; find out where they are staying, ask if you may render them any service; try to make their lives a little happier.
In this way, even if, sometimes, what you at first suspected should be true, still go out of your way to be kind to them—this kindness will help them to become better.
After all, why should any foreign people be treated as strangers?

"The Seven Mysteries of Life" is one of the most remarkable philosophical works on life and the universe. Guy Murchie speculates, using nature as a guide, on how we can understand reality by looking around us. His drawings are very useful and add humour and depth. He is a well rounded man who will not lead us into blind alleys. It is a good book from which to introduce teens to the subject of Biology.

There have been many books on the Revelation of St. John. But the key to interpretation was always missing. That key was provided by the appearance of Baha'u'llah, a Messenger of God, Michael in the flesh. With the words of his son 'Abdu'l-Baha, Alan Clarke has most of what he needs to make clear to the reader what the complex imagery of Revelation is pointing to.
